Waddow Activity Centre is excited to share the news of a new ownership for our beautiful, historic Grade II Listed building and its surrounding grounds. WAC Clitheroe Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of GT Foundation, a UK registered charity with charity number 1063741.
We confirm there will be no immediate changes to how the Hall has operated in recent years. It will continue to be a residential activity centre, primarily for children, but also welcoming adult, community, and charity groups to enjoy its wide range of facilities. Looking ahead, Waddow Activity Centre is working in close collaboration with the Waddow Hall Trust and a passionate team of volunteers to reopen in September 2025.
As we move toward reopening, our focus remains on delivering high-quality, values-led programming in a historic and natural setting, where education meets adventure and every visitor has the opportunity to build confidence, resilience, and lifelong memories.
Now that Waddow Activity Centre is secured, we’re excited to continue providing residential and day use for schools, youth groups, adult social clubs, and families, while also broadening access to businesses and the public.
Outdoor access for overall well-being is important to us, helping to build confidence, self-esteem, and mental health.
Waddow Activity Centre facilities and activities are designed to be inclusive, ensuring everyone, regardless of age or ability, can enjoy them. We are committed to keep Waddow Activity Centre a thriving and welcoming community hub for generations to come.
